Outdoor Cheap and Fun Entertainment

 

Money issues are common in this society. It's hard to make sure your kids have fun in a bad economy. There are cheap and fun outdoor entertainment ideas. 

1. Visit a fire house. The tours for kids are arranged by most fire houses. This type of activity is fun for preschoolers and elementary school children. It's free and gives your child or children exposure to possible career choices they can explore in the future. 

2. Make sunflowers. This activity may cost you a small amount of money, but it shouldn't be too much. You have to take a variety of different sized Styrofoam balls and slice them in half. Put tacky glue on the rounded side of the balls. Attach the petals from yellow paper to the Styrofoam ball. Wrap the project around the back side with a circle cut from the yellow paper. Attach some ribbons to your flowers and tie them to a tree once your project is done. 

3. You can attend a local or minor league sporting event. Minor league baseball games are free and fun to attend with your family. 

4. Volunteer. You and your children can learn a lot from volunteering. There are many ways to get your kids involved in the community. There are always soup kitchens to help out. Many towns have gardening clubs. There's a lot to be done with volunteer work. 

5. Plan a treasure hunt. The things the children are looking for can be simple, like a new toy car or an old toy that they forgot about, but which they will have fun rediscovering. Make a plan for your kids to get to the treasure. 

6. Create a dress up box. Purchase old and cheap clothing from thrift stores and place it in a special box for your children to dress up in. A fashion show can be hosted by your kids. . 

7. From outside, collect sticks, pebbles, rocks, seashells, and leaves. Then you can cut out a display area from the cardboard. The children should decorate the cardboard. Glue the treasures to the cardboard and display them in your home. 

8. Play sports in your yard. It doesn't matter what sport you play, getting outside and playing is a great activity to do with your kids. 

9. As a family, take a hike or ride a bike. In the winter, go sledding. Our children have the chance to bond with us. Simple outdoors activities that don't cost a lot of money can provide your kids with that opportunity. These types of activities are a great way to save money
